Description Conventionally, grinding media was made of Cast iron, Cast steel and even through Forged process in EN specifications. However, High Chrome Grinding media has surpassed the conventionally produced grinding media in terms of performance and is now widely being used by all industries across the globe. The cement industries are using the most diverse range of grinding media, ranging from 17 mm to 90 mm, which is divided in the 2/3 chambers.The large focus is on the power consumption and increased output. The grades of HCGM of SBIPL are such that the balls retain their shape as they tend to wear. De-shaped balls are like dead balls, which do not assist in effective grinding, and tend to slide as they move up the periphery of mill, instead of falling or toppling from the top. Such dead load decreases the grinding efficiency, increases the power consumption of the mill and also results in decreased output. Balls supplied by SBIPL overcome these problems, by giving such grades of HCGM, which have uniform hardness to the core, have high wear resistance and they wear uniformly. SBIPL is supplying to various cement companies in the country, and also exporting about 35% of it’s production in this area. We are also on the Global supply list of cement majors like Heidelberg. |
